Granite and I hiked Mount Washington, NH last weekend with a group of friends. Growing up in Maine, I always heard about the weather atop the infamous mountain. It’s been claimed that Mount Washington has the worst weather in the world. Considering it was August in the above picture, you could say it was chilly. At the summit, the wind was ripping at 45 mph that the air felt like it was 32 degrees. Downright balmy!
Regardless of the unseasonably cool weather and lack of visibly, the hike was fabulous. I love that we can pack up the truck and head to the wilderness for a weekend adventure.
